The Email field type is used when you would like a person submitting your form to enter his or her email address. The data entered in an e-mail field is checked for correct formatting, e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org.
(a) Enter the title in Label field.
(b) Use the Type drop down menu to select E-mail.
(c) Optional: Check the box to make the field mandatory.
(d) Click the Add button.
(e) Optional: Similar to the procedure followed when creating a new text field or text area, you can include a description, or change the default size of the email field by adjusting the width in the Display section (not visible in the below image).
(f) Optional: Use the Label display drop down menu to determine the relationship between the label and the field. By default, Above is selected, and the label will display above the field. Inline places the label to the left of the field. If you select None, the label will not appear.
(g) Always remember to scroll to the bottom of the Edit Component page and click the Save component button.
After clicking the Save component button, you will return to the main webform page.
(h) Click the View tab to preview your form.
Email fields and text fields may look identical, but the form will not submit if anything other than an email address is entered.
