Drop down menus are lists allowing individuals to select one or more choices from a set list.
(a) Enter your question or statement in the Label field.
(b) Use the Type drop down menu to choose Select options.
(c) Optional: Check the box to make the field mandatory.
(d) Click the Add button.
(e) Optional: Include additional details or instructions in the Description field.
(f) Check the Multiple box if more than one response is permitted.
(g) Enter all potential answers in the Options section. Separate each response with the pipe symbol | and write each answer twice. Include only one option per line.
(h) IMPORTANT: You must check the Listbox for your field to display as a drop down menu.
(i) Use the Label display drop down menu to determine the relationship between the label and drop down menu. By default, Above is the selected option, and the label will display above the menu. Inline places the label to the left of the menu. If you select None, the label will not appear.
(j) Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the Save component button (not visible in the below image).
(k) Click on the View tab to review your form.
Note that since I did not make this field mandatory, the drop down menu begins with none as the first option. If submission was mandatory, select would appear as the first choice.
(l) Click the Webform tab to resume editing.
