Form Field Types - Text Fields
The text field is probably the most common form field type. Providing users with a limited space to type a response, text fields are designed for entering a name, address, or other information that only requires a few words.
(a) Enter the field's title in the Label field.
(b) Use the drop down menu in the Type column to select Text Field.
(c) Optional: Check the box to make the field mandatory. When checked, the field will have to be completed for the form to submit.
(d) Click the Add button.
(e) Optional: On the Edit component page, include additional instructions or information for somebody completing this field in the Description field. This text will appear beneath the field.
(f) Optional: Use the options in the Display section to manage the size of the text field.
(g) Optional: The Label display section allows you to determine the location of the label in relation to the text field. By default, the label will display above the text field. Inline displays the label to the left of the text field. If you select none, the Label will not appear.
(h) Click the Save component button.
(i) Click on the View tab to review your form.
Review your form on the View/Edit page, and click the Webform tab to resume editing.
