There are two ways of tracking emergency contact information in your back office database.
Your previous system data is likely already in your system under the "previous system temporary" field set, located on a student's summary tab in the fields "Emergency Contact 2" and "Emergency Contact Phone":
If you'd like a more dynamic database, you can move these custom data fields into an active relationship "Emergency Contact Of". To do this, complete the following steps:
- Go to student's record.
- Click on "relationships" tab
- Click "add relationship"
- Choose relationship type "emergency contact is". choose contact from the database. If the emergency contact does not already exist in your database, choose "create new individual:.
- Save the relationship
